9:00 AM – Welcome & Relaxation
We start the day with a half-hour session (relaxation, yoga, prana) before heading to the workshop.
Morning – “Up-to-date” French Class
Let’s dive into the French language! I tailor the class entirely to each person’s level and goals. We’ll start by working on vocabulary for everyday conversation, then expand our vocabulary with terms specific to books and calligraphy.
12:00 PM – Shared Meal
A friendly potluck-style meal. Everyone brings a little something to share, complemented by seasonal vegetables from the garden.
2:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Guided Practice & Calligraphy
The afternoon is dedicated to the artistic practice of the stroke. As I am fully bilingual, I invite you to create your calligraphy in French or English, whichever you prefer. You’ll receive personalized guidance to combine the joy of words with the beauty of the stroke.
To enrich our study, the studio’s library is brimming with valuable books in French and English, and even includes a treasure in Chinese.
A kettle and tea are available in the large fireplace room adjacent to the studio.
The large fireplace room features a spacious lounge area with a reading nook.
The studio provides you with materials to use responsibly, including flat-nibbed pens, dip pens, or goose quills from the farm across the street.
Each Artilanguage stay includes one afternoon dedicated to a cultural excursion or a relaxing activity.
